Sacks / bags
Large quantities, high demands
We produce our technical foils often for VFFS (vertical form fill and seal machines). This method is used to fill bags and sacks, among others, in the following product areas:
- Sand for playgrounds
- Wood chips
- Litter (for animals)
- Seed / grain
- (Decorative) gravel
- Stones (among others for paths and gabions)
- Road salt
- Dried dog food
Food demanding storage below 0 degrees Celsius and natural products requiring no further protection need no barrier against oxygen and / or water. Therefore, the use of straight PE films is perfectly adequate for the following products:
- Frozen potato chips
- Frozen bakery products
- Frozen vegetables
- Frozen mushrooms
- Frozen chicken parts
- Frozen fish and seafood
- Frozen convenience food
- Crushed ice
- Ice cubes
- Apples (not chilled on the fruit shelf)
Foods stored at temperatures above 0 degrees Celsius require packaging that provides a barrier against oxygen and / or water. Our PE films as part of a composite are also used for these applications.
Paper and cosmetics industries
To keep sanitary products clean
The paper and cosmetics industries also require printed PE film:
- Toilet paper
- Kitchen towels
- Cotton pads
Excellent also for B2B
Many of our customers distributing small quantities of 500 g to 2.5 kg as end consumer product offer their products in large volumes for bulk consumers or converters. VFFS applications often require unprinted bags for content of 5 to 25 kg.
riba is also your first choice for these applications.
Achieving more together
We are one of the DERIBA Group's experts in environmentally friendly packaging. Together with our partners, we are working on a recycling loop for foils.
